The first step in UM’s comprehensive orientation program is attending one of the Summer Orientation Days, which are designed for new students coming to UM. Summer Orientation Days include the following:
- Meet with an academic advisor to discuss your program of study and develop a class schedule for your first semester.
- Hear from faculty and staff about classroom experiences and campus services.
- Explore campus with your orientation leader and meet fellow students.
- Learn about the rich traditions of Montevallo and the next steps to take before your first semester begins.
